CYCLE TOURS IN INDIA
A bike is an ideal, go anywhere, versatile machine for exploring
India in its cultural diversity and natural splendor. Biking to
heights in the Himalayas that initially seem unachievable with
some of the world's greatest peaks hovering at a distance or
winding your way through and around enchanting villages and
townships of Rajasthan allows a unique intimacy with the
people and their culture.
India's tremendously diverse terrain offers an infinite
abundance of tracks and trails, ideal for biking. From the
challenging mountain roads that climb thousands of meters to
reach spectacular viewpoints, followed by exhilarating descents;
to biking on the smooth tracks passing through the princely
desert counties of Rajasthan or the lush green vistas of
southern coast, it's a wholesome experience that is both
adventurous and un-forgettable.

explore the Himalayan regions of Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and

TRIP PROFILE
 The biking adventure tours starts in Leh, exploring this
enchanting town, visiting ancient monasteries, bazaars and other
local attractions. On the next day we will take a return trip to
Khardung La (5600M) - the highest motorable pass in the
world. On day 3 we will start the biking journey from Leh to
Manali, accompanied by a support vehicle carrying our luggage,
staff, camping gear etc.
The trip will take us across some of the highest mountain passes
in the world viz. Tanglang La (17582ft.) Lachalung La
(16616ft.) Baralacha (16000ft.) and Rohtang Pass (13050 ft.) During
this 500Km journey we would also make detours to visit and
experience the mystic culture of nomads by the Tsoker Lake.
There are also abundant chances of spotting some high altitude
wild life like Keyang (wild ass) Ibex, mountain hare etc.
Each day we have chosen suitable places for the camping and the
distances to be covered have been calculated as per the road
conditions etc. The views during this whole tour are
spectacular, from the passes the mountain ranges sweep in to the
far distances. The strong sunlight illuminating the yellow and
red rocks, the snow capped peaks with clear blue sky backdrop
set beside gorges, canyons and desert offer a wonderful,
post-card environment.
Finally on approaching Manali, we will be leaving behind
the barren mountain ranges and enter the green landscape. The
small beautiful town of Manali will be most relaxing place after
this tour. From Manali we will return to Delhi by car / coach
with an overnight stay in
Chandigarh.
