Elephant Safari In North India

 Day
01 : Arrive Delhi
 On
arrival meet and assist at the airport and transfer
to pre-booked hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day
02 : Delhi-Corbett National Park
Morning,
leave for Corbett. Arrive Corbett and check in at
pre-booked hotel. In the afternoon, take a nature
walk accompanied by a naturalist. In the evening, a
slide show on the flora and fauna of the area.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day
03 :
 In early morning after taking breakfast go to Jeep
safari in the Corbett National Park for tiger
tracking. We drive along the Ramnagar, to look for
the fish eating Gharial and Marsh Pallas and
Himalayan Grey headed fishing eagles, Osprey,
Crested Serpent Eagle and of course the Mammalia.
Arrive at Dhikala, in the reserve, 51 km
north-west of Ramnagar, the natural setting is awesome
and the located picturesque. After lunch, rest,
relax and enjoy the panoramic view of the
grassland area and its abundant wildlife. The
elephant ride from Dhikala provides the opportunity
to close viewing of wildlife. Jeep to
Cabins Lodge for overnight stay.
Day
04 :
Early
morning, after taking breakfast Lv to jeep safari in the Gairal Area and into
the awesome wilderness of the park. Arrive at the
wildlife resort. Drive in the jeep to the point
where we start the
elephant safari. Enroute visit the
Kanda situated at an elevation of 1020 m, where
Jim Corbett shot the Kanda man eater. After a
picnic lunch, we start the elephant safari in the
Himalayan foothills. The experience of just being
on on Elephant - a silent bulldozer which has
unmatched cross country abilities. You can change
seats with the Mahout and get the feel of driving
an elephant.After a hot water
bucket wash, we
get together at the campfire.
Overnight stay at forest rest house.
 Day 05 :
In
the early morning we start a full day safari on the
elephant back, stopping enroute at a picturesque
spot for breakfast, always learning the mysteries of
this wonderful animal. The bird life in this lower
altitude wilderness is rich.
We
take rest at Mondiapani Forest Rest House and give
our elephant a break and a bath in the stream Start
elephant safari for the Sonanadi Wildlife Sanctuary,
going along the rocky plain river, the forested
areas and scenery is spectacular. We arrive at
Haldupara Forest Rest House built in 1892 was broken
down by Wild elephants and abandoned. The Sonanadi
Wildlife Sanctuary was included in the Corbett Tiger
Reserve and this Forest Rest House was restored, a
few years ago. After a hot water
bucket wash, we get together at the campfire.
Overnight stay at forest rest house.
Day
06 :
Option
of either going for an elephant ride or a Jeep
Safari or a nature walk with an armed guard in the
Sonanadi Sanctuary area, for wildlife viewing. After
breakfast, we depart by jeep with packed lunch via
Sendhikhal, Saneh, Morghatti, Kalagarh, Jhirna,
Dhela, Ramnagar reaching Corbett by the late
evening. On arrival check in at pre-booked hotel or
resort
Day
07 : Corbett-Delhi
Morning,
leave for Delhi. Arrive Delhi and check in at
pre-booked hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day
08 :
Delhi
Full
day city tour of Delhi. Visit the Red Fort, Jamb
Masjid, Raj ghat, India Gate (War Memorial Arch),
President House (Rashtpati Bhavan), Sansad Bhavan, Humayun's Tomb, Qutub Minar,
Connaught Place and Birla Mandir, Bhahai house of
worship, Jantar Mantar,.
Overnight
at the hotel.
